I'm fond of the late sixties designs, but I ended up with this Hearse for one of several reasons. One of which is that I adore 80's era Broughams. It may not be the most unique Hearse out there, as Broughams were COMMON for Hearses of that era, but I have never honestly seen one quite like it, even if they are only the differences I'd notice. I wanted a Hearse and I wanted a Brougham and the two of them just merged into one.

One day, I'd like to get another and make a wagon out of it, Limo-style bench seats.

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude.

Oil that is, black gold. Texas tea.

C'mon now, I know what the Beverly Hillbillies are.

Wednesday was my high school graduation.. Instead of renting a limo, we all just drove in mine! Didn't get any pictures with the group though, just a few before I left.

Driving a Cadillac wearing a tux.. one of the many things one must do before their life is complete.

Got rid of the spokes, they had some rust issues and werent a matching set. Replaced them with some Enduros and some caps from a 77-79 brougham. Also got rid of the RR grill and put on the eggcrate grill. Here's before and after. Notice the 100 spoke fronts and 150 spoke rears. Used to tell people the 150 spokes were to handle all the power coming from the motor.

That reminds me of senior prom. Cadillac is ten times better than a rusty pickup or your mother's Windstar (a few of the kids were being chauffeured via mini van). I only wish I had gone through with my plan to charge for Cadillac rides; $50 to be dropped off at the main door (picked up in the parking lot, just to make you look good), or $200 to be picked up at you house and dropped off at the main door.

Never went to a Prom, but this gives me some interesting, if not devious ideas...

Nothing is Off-Limits when you are the kind of person to speed through cemeteries and stand on people's crypts, inches above their corpses to get photos of your Car.

Actually, should I ever get more parking space and opt for a second Hearse, I may Chauffeur people in the back when I get the seats in.

I also ran into the Director of Recreations for The City of Minneola, who is a massive fan of Halloween and vintage Cars, so she decided she wanted me to help with the Haunted house this year, especially after learning of my experience in building props/animatronics and as things would have it, I may end up chauffeuring people this October anyhow. That will be a busy month between the Haunted Houses, Ultimate Horror Weekend, possibly going to Universal Studio's attraction if it sounds good, which it didn't last year, so I didn't go, even though I get in for free and Holy Samhain night itself. On Average, I probably spend more funds throughout the year on October than anything else. I don't mean I spend more IN October, but even in January, I am spending money on things I will only need in October. Damn Irish History.

Long Story Short: Lots of photos this year, I promise.

CS, are the fins on the hub-caps color-coded to the car? They look amazing.

Nooooo no no....that hearse looks amazing WITHOUT whitewalls. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true....

Yeah, romping around with my Hearse will give you a good idea. I've never driven any other 307 vehicle, but assume the rest are a bit more responsive than mine. For what it's worth, it's still a good engine to cruise in.

love your hearse -My, how that poor ol 307 must feel pulling that weight. Hey, why the 454 ?? A 455 will drop right in there and there are plenty of the olds guys ridding of em with the economy being what it is .
