Holy shit man! What hit you? A Kenworth?!
It felt like it. It was a PT Cruiser that hit me. Thank god for BIG cars. BIG cars save LIVES! 17 to 25 miles per gallon is not bad. I will replace it with a 96 FW. TexasCadilllac

Nice!!! I dig those Buick Rallye (is that the right name?) wheels on it, never seen that done before. And I'm not sure if the whole car is an '81, but the grille is, and that's my favorite grille on those cars.

amen to that i will NEVER drive a small car. my caddy is big enough for me. i live in santa cruz so all of the "peace loving hippies" give me dirty looks and yell things about oil and trees to me.
dont get me wrong guys, i do my part to protect the environment. i recycle, clean up trash, and know a thing or two about growing citrus trees.

im just trying to make a point that its really annoying when all of the UCSC hip cool college kids trying to act like theyve lived in my town for their whole lives walk up to me and say "hey man... why are you driving a car like that in times like this?" and "youre making it harder to breathe for everyone" to that i reply that 1, my car gets 26mpg on a good day. 2, this car was a gift from my grandfather, and 3, i flip them the finger and walk away.

maybe it sounded like i was dissing on people who protect the enviroment. but no way, i'm one of them

Re: Post a pic of your RWD Caddy!

I dont think anyone took it that way. I havnt had anyone EVER say anything negative to me about my car.Only very positive things and compliments. But is someone said something like "youre making it harder for me to breathe", i would reply with something like "good" or "awesome" or "tru" or "word".

I drive my car because its a F!ing bad ass sexy piece of American luxury.

I wouldnt have it any other way.

You get 25mpg is an '85 Brougham? I dont belive mine has ever seen over 20mpg.

Re: Post a pic of your RWD Caddy!

yeah like 90% of the feedback i get on my car is positive... but there's always those select few who think its unenvironmental or something like that. just like you, i wouldnt have it any other way.

yeah i can squeeze 26 out of it if im going down the highway at 55 with my foot barely on the pedal.

Re: Post a pic of your RWD Caddy!

I'm not a fan of environmental liberals and their complaining about everything on four wheels either. If that's the price i pay for driving a good looking car, so be it. people nowadays just want something to be edgy about, and since most college kids see cars as pointless machines that only serve as transportation and a place to eat drive through food, well, they attack them. It's my right as an American to drive a Cadillac for it's style and beauty, and say to hell with the fuel economy. If you don't like it, go to Russia.

I still claim my record is 28 mpg on my trip out to cape cod about a year ago. I can't explain it, nor do I try.

Maybe you should educate them on the fact that used cars are the highest for of recycling there is and that gasoline is not the only oil product and how many barrels of oil go into all the new rubber, plastics, and paints that are used to produce new cars. They might understand then, probably not though as they are all a bunch of pot smoking hippies!!!

Our Caddy doesn't do much more than 100 miles a week most times. I commute via motorcycle 90% of the time year round. I get about 40 MPG on that.

These kids have no idea with their softball exhaust ricers or the mom and dad provided SUV. Personally I think seeing a "No War For Oil" sticker on an Excursion is justification for homicide by tire iron!!!
