Re: Post a pic of your RWD Caddy!

Thank you, CF69. I did check through the parts wanted/for sale thread and just posted in there. One way or the other, the vinyl top will be for another day. I've put $300 or so into it the last couple of weeks so some things will wait. I do some woodworking so I'm no stranger to the finishing process(Not exactly the same but very similar) and wouldn't feel uncomfortable doing it, it's a matter of equipment. I've already got a few thousand tied up in woodworking and yard equipment so my dear wife and I would need to do some negotiating there.

No problem. Caddy restoration is a process you must follow in a quiet but constant way. Youīll see what I mean if you take a look at my 69 SDV restoration thread

Lovely! Looks like you need a new hood ornament, but everything else looks great.

Congrats man! Beautiful wire wheels. WW tires are gold rimmed; never saw them on a car. They make it distinctive. Enjoy it

I love 68s, specially convertibles. I hope you restore it as she deserves.

    That's the plan!

I bought the car when I was 19 for $2k and had it ever since. She hasn't been turned over for 18 years. Right now, I planning for a frame off with a low-rod / resto-mod look. Can't wait to get her back on the road.

As some other forum members have told, it will be a long and costly process. In these cases patience and perseverance are fundamental. I wish you the best for your project; pjherman is a good example to follow. Iīve seen the pics of his work; itīs awesome.

Best of luck with the 68. She looks like a solid candidate for restoration.

I have fully prepared myself (and more importantly my wife) that this is going to cost a truckload of cash! It's sat as is for 18 years so I've got plenty of patience, I just want it done right. I've already pinged pjherman.. I love what he's done so far!
