Folks;
Here's some pics of my summer fun 1970 SDV.
Note the very rare passenger mirror.
I bought this beauty in 1984, since then I've added 35,000 miles.
It blasts along the freeway like riding in a 747!

Hey EricV;
I like the front end of your unit.
Can you post a pic of your unit showing the front lights, markers, emerg blinkers etc lit up?
Are your turn signals in the out board corners? What (lights?) are on either side of the grill, inboard from the headlights? Horns maybe?
Here's mine lit up.
Where I live, a city of 1/2 million, where there are very few pre-90's Cadillacs. Lots of the new millennium examples around. So i wanna be seen with orange lights. I see so many idiots on their phones while driving even though it's a $400 fine if a cop gets em.
Also planning on installing brake lights on the bottom bolts of the rear air shocks too!
Safety first!
Stay tuned...

My 78 Coupe deVille, Annabelle. Pic taken Sunday when I got it back from the auto shop. New brake booster, new master cylinder, new front pads, resurfaced rotors and adjusted rear brake shoes and car stops on a dime...if you look close, I added 1958 Coupe deVille badges just under the front fender spear on both sides, because why not..😁

Can I ask, is the initial brake pedal push now grabby with the new brake booster?

I was really surprised when I worked on a '78 Lincoln the other week that the brakes, upon initial push of the pedal were THERE.. and I mean right there.. coulda locked up the brakes going 10mph. I can't do that in my '77.

Mine's been all bled with a new master cylinder but it still doesn't perform as well as I'd like.. so, thought I'd ask how your brakes respond ?

Hey sgc2c,

I'm really grokking your crest. But it appears to have fallen down:

Markedly and vastly improved insides! The asymmetrical paint and other vignettes are quite novel.

The "deep clean" seatbelts. Do you soak them in a bucket of something? Or just SprayTS outta them and wipe off? If it's not your secret. ;)

Thank you, Sir.
It’s quite the automobile. Chrome suspension and there’s even murals painted inside the wheel wells.

As far as the seat belts, I use LA’s Totally Awesome [the yellow all purpose cleaner] full strength. Spray the heck out of them, take whatever brush is nearby and give it a quick scrub on both sides, rinse with the hose nozzle. Take a cotton terry towel to begin drying them.

Might have to do it twice if they’re super dirty, but nothing else comes close when it comes to cleaning seat belts.
Handheld steam cleaner option on the belts works, too. Little known secret but deep cleaning the belts gets the weak retractors to work because of the softened belt material.

Most excellent! I loves me looking under the clothing of really clean old cars. True car porn. And MORE than the just downright decent grade before :cool:

I detailed this 1995 Fleetwood Brougham this past week.

Interior detail only. It was in major need. Cleaned the leather seats, door panels & dash. Shampoo the carpets & matts. Polish the glass & britework, and deep clean the seat belts.

Kinda hard to show in the pictures how dirty it came in, but here’s a few before/after photos.

Good work! Amazing!
How did U get the great results (before and after) with your seat belts? Did you have remove them, or were they done while attached? What cleanser/solvents did you use? I've done everything with mine including removing them and dipping overnite but no super results like yours!

cheers

Clean with a handheld steam cleaner or simple bucket of water and towels and whatever upholstery cleaner. They will become more supple as a result and the tensioners will tension the tension with better tension.
