Holy quadruple post, Batman! Welcome to the forums.

Gold emblems were usually a dealer installed thing. The "Gold Package".

The gold emblems was put on by the previous owner, aftermarket stuff. It looks decent so I kept them. Rims are 8.5" with 5"bs/+6mm offset. Fits nice no rubbing.

I have just got her running fixed up and through inspection but unfortunately will have to put her up for sale due to recent events in life which effects economy. Oh well. Next summer I'll get a 70's cdv coupe instead.!

At the back of my DeVille -67 there is a "badge" that I have no clue what it stands for. It would be interesting if anyone could tell what the badge stands for. My car is imported to Sweden from Akron, Ohio.

^It might be from a coach builder. Is there anything special about the car (extra body features or an unusual interior)? Post more pictures of the car, inside and out.

Hi Sven, thanks for an interesting reply! The car is standardized, the only thing that differs from standard is that the car is equipped with Sabre wheels (probably from an Eldorado -58).

It could also be a dealership insignia... Many car dealerships in the '50's and '60's copied the emblem of the make they sold and put their own name or monogram on it. If the car was bought new from an Akron Cadillac dealership in '67, then it might have come from Dave Towel Cadillac. I do not know if they ever used a badge like that, but they have been in the Akron area since 1912.

Looks like a dealership badge. It's kind of cool I think.

Many thanks again, Sven! Yes, you are correct the car was sold on March 22, 1967 by Dave Towell on 118 West Market St. At the Protect-o-plate i can read the name Addie L. Smith who probably was the first owner.

That's a really nice de Ville. I thought all imports to New Zealand or Australia had to be converted to right hand drive.

I drove down to Waverly, IA this evening to eat and get a couple shots of the 65 Fleetwood infront of the old time Shell station on the town's Main Street (Bremer Ave.) Was an awesome evening for a cruise in the old girl...

Australia pretty much yes - but in New Zealand any car over 20 years old can stay Left Hand drive - under 20 years it has to be a vehicle of special interest ( 2 door sports car and under a certain amount produced basically )

But they do a very strict complaince test and NO rust anywhere is tolerated - brakes checked for maximum wear - all hoses glass must be standards approved and in good conditon. Seat belts can have no marks or nicks -It can be a lot of work to get a 44 year old car to comply- but with the help in this forum I intend to
