    1989 OHIO.
Impressive pics. They show a great solemnity and calmness.

BTW, my 69 SDV is lower than many 69 I can see in the forum, like outsider┤s one. What┤s the reason? new shocks? I think my caddy┤s shocks never were changed.

So Ohio will let you keep your original plates? Wish Tennessee would do this, as the current plates look a bit cluttered with the mountains in the background theme.

Also, that 1969 Sedan Deville looks awesome! That year has the most epic Cadillac grill ever.

^No Ohio doesn't let you keep your original plates. But there's nothing saying you can't own year specif plates and put them on your car...

Worn shocks can do it, but also the springs are likely worn. I'd recommend replacing all the running gear at once to achieve a uniform correct ride height and posture.

Thanks That┤s another thing I┤ll have to check. Now it looks cool, but the last section of exhaust hits some ramps (Here not all of them planned for these king size cars)

That happens here too... Almost bent the tail pipe strait, before it rotted out of the muffler and fell off.

I swear the 90-92 5.7 V8 cars like mine sit about 1-2" higher than other 80-92 cars. I've NEVER bottomed out on anything here, and its pretty damn hilly here in Tennessee. And I've bottomed out plenty of times in my other cars(Camaros lol) on the same driveways I can drive 20mph over in my Caddy.

Also, Sven, have you put a positrack rear in your Caddy? I swear the open diff in my car is its greatest weakness in the snow. Especially from a dead stop on a hill.

Something similar happened to me. I repared it provisionally with a long clamp I bought in a hardware store -as the cut was rather clean- until some day I get all the exhaust line fixed (or change it for a new one).

^Yeah, I just ripped off the part that was dragging. I'm tired of replacing exhaust parts on that car. Over the last four years I've replaced two mufflers, two tailpipes (the second one just fell off), and one crossover pipe, which now has a hole in it and needs replaced. Luckily, the Cat hasn't needed replaced.

No there's no posi. The snow tires I use are so good, that it makes the Cadillac more reliable in winter than my neighbor's four wheel drive. That entire cemetery was a sheet of ice, and I didn't know until I got out and couldn't stand up. The cemetery is a maze of steep hills and tight turns, I got absolutely no indication of wheel slip or any other loss of traction.

So I guess it┤s best replacing all the line once and for all. I┤ve heard welding an old pipe section to a new one is not a lasting solution, so in the long run total replacing is more economical and practical.

Kelly Wintermark... I used to have both rears studded, but one got tore up by a screw, and I didn't get a chance to have the new one studded. But I haven't noticed a difference between having studs and not.

Replace your exhaust with a stainless steel one ... the whole thing... mufflers and all
Here we get a 25 year warranty on them.... but we don't get snow

But you should get a much longer life out if it without too much more expense
