Long story, but anyway i need 4 new valves and rockers.
So can you guys give advice, where to buy? I need to ship them fast too (so its UPS probably?). I tried to contact Maddog Racing in Florida, but seems, that their web page is down

I'm sure Al at MTS would have what you need. www.500cid.com |

| | | Re: 1964 429cid valves and lifters - where to buy Pictures help a lot. I'm no expert on heads or anything, but if you look at the pushrods and can't see through them (they are hollow for oil to travel through to get to the rockers) then they are clogged with the stuff, and you will need new ones unless you can unclog them. However, if they are clogged up they are probably what's causing the lack of oil and offer a pretty easy solution to the oil delivery problem. www.500cid.com e-mail Al, he will probably have pushrods for you and possibly rockers that will work or that are just laying around if you need them.
Lifters can be found on Summit and on Ebay. Manley intake and exhaust valves on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S1580...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/A1581...QQcmdZViewItem |

| | | Re: 1964 429cid valves and lifters - where to buy The Grey stuff could be lead deposits. Treat it like toxic waste. The valves cannot be changed without removing the cylinder heads. You must make sure that there is enough oil pressure to stop this from happening again. If the inside of the oil pan looks like the top of the engine then you may have problems there also. Might be time to pull the engine out for inspection. |

| | | Re: 1964 429cid valves and lifters - where to buy Thanks guys,
Engine is pulled out, same with heads, also opened bottom and few bearings - they are OK.
Oil pan is also clean exept oil, what is probably same age, that car(i always wonder why people dont change oil as supposed). As i opened engine, i probably change oil pump and water pump as well. But question: i think it will be wise change all valves in same time, also valve seats - am i right?
And, are there any difference between 1959...65 and 1966..67 valves? Looks like they are sold in different prices??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/A1277...temZ4548663837
vs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/A1581...temZ4554716743
I have 1967 Eldorado too, but i never opened this engine.

| | | Re: 1964 429cid valves and lifters - where to buy Yes there is a difference between valves. Get the ones correct for your year. I don't know much about heads, etc. But I would change the valve seats just to be safe. Once again I don't know what kind of wear they experience, etc.
Don't know what a lead deposit is. Care to explain Ape? |

I think, its good to change valve seats, as heads are off - unleaded fuel isnt good for those old seats. |
