    1953 Deville points question

Hey y'all I have a quick question. I just ordered a tune up kit from caddydaddy.com and it came with a new set of points. The old points look just like the new one I got except for that they are facing the wrong direction. The old ones with the bracket side down bend left and the new ones bend right. Was there different style distributors in these cars or did they change in later years and I might possibly have a newer style distributer? Any input would be awesome. Caddydaddy can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

Re: 1953 Cadillac Deville points question

While post is too old for this info to help him, perhaps it may help someone else. The points in his hand are for a 1940-1954 Cadillac series 62 distributor and the points he needs fit a 1950-1955 Cadillac series 60 fleetwood distributor.
