| | | Again! Where is Cadillac's LWB?! Everybody else has one! Now that the Chrysler 300 has a long wheelbase version: http://car-reviews.automobile.com/ne...-300-lwb/1781/
...where's ours? Lincoln has the Town Car L. BMW has the 7-Series L. Lexus has the LS460L. Mercedes doesn't need an "L" but they have a shorter version for people who don't want a large vehicle... What next? The Saturn L? Can't Cadillac hav ONE large vehicle? The DTS is small. The Fleetwood should have NEVER gone away. Cadillac has been sleeping on this ever since they stopped making the Fleetwood. Obviously, luxury cars are still selling even though they're BIG. Apparently, people are buying BIG cars because they like them. Bring back the Fleetwood or make a DTS with a long wheelbase version. And while you're at it, widen it up a little as well...

| | | Re: Again! Where is Cadillac's LWB?! Everybody else has one! This is the perfect opportunity to revitalize the STS, make it longer and wider. First lengthen the front of the car, give it a powerdome hood. Lenghten the wheelbase at least 5 inches for more rear leg room. This fix would be relatively cheap. It's better than letting the sales limp along.
Unless marketing paradigms are anticipated Cadillac can only look at as a catch up effort. Cadillac needs to invest in a little Spy work! |

| | | Re: Again! Where is Cadillac's LWB?! Everybody else has one! I know this topic has been out there a while, and I recently saw an add that had the Imaj, then I wondered. If the technology is sound, why doesn't Cadillac replace the slow selling STS with the Imaj? The platform is large enough to place it in the market with the 7 Series, and the LS 460. If Cadillac can deliver it for 55K to 75K for the V-type, then a killer car is born. Sometimes product planners try to tweak a model, that won't resuscitate. Bring out something else, and bring a little excitement to the showroom. |

The DTS is 207.6 inches long.
The BMW 760Li is 203.9
The S-Class is 205
The current 2006 LS is 430, not 460 and has no LWB.
But if you want a longer DTS you can order it here: http://www.cadillacdes.com/ |

| | | Re: Again! Where is Cadillac's LWB?! Everybody else has one! That's exactly it.. I suppose it's nice to have lots of legroom in the back. But like Brett said, the DTS is tiny inside. Like a Volkswagen Beetle. It needs to be wider. Much wider. I feel crammed-in while driving... Even the Lexus LS430 is small.. The Fleetwood and Lincoln Town Car size is what I'd like to see.. If trucks can be as wide, I don't see why cars can't be... | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
