Electronic Headache

I can't drive my 94STS at night because the headlights go out all of a sudden. My gauges are still lit and everything else works. This problem is sporadic. My mechanic can't locate the problem.
Anyone seen this? THX

Sorry, my schematics are at work and I'm not. Before I say anything for sure, I'd want to check them.

Refresh my memory on this one, Do you have a sensor that detects daytime and nighttime. Or when you flip on the switch for the headlights do they just come on and go right back off? I may have a solution for you that would not cost a ton of money and just a few minutes of your time. Let me know.
George

Ok, one question for you. have you tried turning "OFF" the Twilight Sentinel, and just "manually" turning on the headlamps?
If so and they STILL do it, I'd suspect the dimmer switch, but you could start checking the system by installing a test light in strategic locations(such as right before the dimmer sw.)to see what's still getting power after the lights go out.
