From there you take a filler plug out and look, just like any old manual. |

| | | Re: 2 N* Questions - Coolent and Tranny Dipstick? On the Ford it requires special tools and equipment to check and add the fluid. Still seems dumb to me, but that is probably because I had to spend $2000 on a tranny rebuild on it. |

| | | Re: 2 N* Questions - Coolent and Tranny Dipstick? OK found the little tranny cap/dipstick. Now since you check fluid with the tranny HOT and the engine Running, and since this cap is tucked away in a place that a squid can hardly reach, I will need a pair of asbestoes gloves to check my tranny..... |

| | | Re: 2 N* Questions - Coolent and Tranny Dipstick? ^^ That's horrible
My dad's corvette is automatic, and you have to get under the car, while its running, to check the fluid.
Whot the f**k designs these things? People who want the owners to die while checking the damn things!! |

| | | Re: 2 N* Questions - Coolent and Tranny Dipstick? It's not that complicated. Just rotate the air box up in the air and you have perfect access to the dipstick. The dipstick does not get that hot; just turn and pull. It's that simple. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
