considering most places charger over 300 bucks for a pcm upgrade and im trying to make some of the 900 that i paid for this im thinkin of charging about 80 bucks which i think is EXTREAMLY fair.

It looks to me like this gadget is a hardware fix and not a software upgrade. It would be neccessary to tool up and make more of them if you want to sell something.

idk they told me it dled into the computer and then changed it, you could leave it there or remove it, it didnt matter. if you wanted to go back to stock youd have to take it to the dealer and have them flash the pcm. my parents dont want it so i have been forbidden from testing on their cars to see if its removeable for myself

Interesting. If that's true, I give them more credit than I did before.

They must have found the ALDL parameter that reflashes the EEPROM.

Somebody spend the extra $40 to do a before/after dyno. Or - ETC97- offer someone a $40 discount if they do a few dyno runs

my rents said no testy on their cars
but my dad just got an STSV and so the 98 STS is now my sisters
she owes me big time and that STS is fully stock
im thinking a test is in order hahahahhha

or i could just have my dealer reflash my pcm being they STILL have my car

and then plug and dyno again
but i cant even put gas in my ETC right now haha

got bless the beater CTS 2.8 they gave me as a loaner while they work on my 97 (they gave me a full tank haha)

I hear the 3.6L CTS has much better get up and go than the 2.8L. Not sure how it compares to the ETC. Probibly handles a bit better from that nurburgring tuning.

thats one thing I wish this module would do, is get rid of the speed limiter, heck 112mph doesn't even shift to 4th gear.

ok guys ive talked to Bob hes looked all over the shop and has 2 more thats it. Jet chips isnt producing and wont produce anymore. If anyone else is interested i can get you contact infortmation.

Send me one, and I can probably make more. It depends on what exactly they used, but if it's a standard microcontroller and memory, I can probably do it. (I'm majoring in electrical engineering.)

No, there just isn't enough interest. Even if I could build them for $100, I doubt anybody would buy them. They're unproven dyno wise, and not many people are interested in performance items.

Sad but true. Mark my words, that chip will still be for sale come next year.
