Now we're getting somewhere. The thing appears to be made by JetChip. Now all we need to know is what's inside. JetChip has a lot of that kind of stuff on their site but I don't see anything for NorthStars. It's all for pushrod motors in Escalades and CTS-V's. |

If there's just a resistor in there, I will laugh my a$$ off |

The date on it appears to be 5/24/00. I wonder why the world isn't saturated with them by now. I supose first it has to work. |

Respect is something a young guy like you has to earn. Before us old guys are ready to take everything you say at face value, first you have to have a track record. For now your track record appears to be you being led down the garden path. We're all going to learn something together. Let's hope it's something good and then we'll all be happy. Until then we can all be polite and listen to each other as we hash it out. |

I'm glad were finally getting somewhere with this. Now you need to find someone who might know how to duplicate the program. |

read the thing
its a prototype as of 5/24/00
they never produced it
they were working with XMS to make them but due to lack of interest the project was shut down.
how many times do i have to say this?
i even spoke with the owner of jet chips
his words were that it was designed and built as a prototype for testing by xms racing to work on their supercharger project. it was stage one of a several stage project into hacking the N* pcm. The project was shut down due to lack of interest. |

This thing looks like a device to offset the data between the sensors and the PCM like the fuel cut cheater I had on my old Mazda RX-7 turbo. Is it programable by you or is it WYSIWYG? |

If that link is correct it makes a FWD eldo go as quick as the new STS RWD northstar, very impressive.
As others have said though, you could get gains like those from freer louder exhuast and such.
I think I read someone on this forum bought and programmed thier own piggyback computer which basically lies to the PCM about inputs, that in its self I think is the route to go and if I remember was much cheaper than 900. I wonder if they decided to produce it how much they would ask.
Being out of warranty for several years now on my 98 deville I would have no problem putting a mod like this on it if known to be stable and such. |

idk how to make more and i wont have my 900 peice of equipment ripped apart to see if we CAN make more
its mine all mine and i love it she has so much more ballz i cant begin to describe
and most off i deserve it cuz unlike everyone here who complained about wanting hp im the one who emailed many companies searched day in and out and finally found this.
as far as im concerend everyone who doubted me and accused me of all people of lieing should have no business talking and telling me what i should or shouldnt do with my chip.
in my book me eldo1 and mark99sts are the only ones who should have access to shuch a toy because we are the major ones who actually try to provide this forum with help and more performance options for our cars. |

How much were you considering a charge to "barrow it" for a download? I live up in the Buffalo NY area Cheswick is near pitsburg if I recall, and do you know if its able to be used on other northstar equipped vehicles? That is of course after we can get some dino/time slip results.
And to Eldo, has your TB post been moved/deleted? I can't seem to find it, was wondering your prices and such, I was debating to at least remove and polish it myself since it would be hard to have much if any downtime on my (well fathers, soon to my mine ) vehicle.
Thanks. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
