what engine years will fit my 94 sls?

i need an engine for my 94 sls...what years and models fit? and if anyone is selling one..please post info! and also, will an sts engine fit? Thanks

Im thinking 94-95 only, vin Y. The N* being fairly new to the seen was undergoing subtle changes every couple of years.

I could be wrong.

Only a 93 or 94 Northstar will interchange.

The 95 has the one piece plastic intake manifold, different heads, etc. and will not readily swap into place. Physically it will bolt in but the intake, wiring, fuel lines, etc. will all be different and require a lot of modifications.

would a northstar engine that was shrink wrapped, openings taped, and properly stored, oil and coolent kept in it, with low miles on it sitting for 9 years , still be runnable?? or should it be rebuilt.
