    Forged crankshaft for N*

Does any one know what 2004 N* engines have the forged crankshaft? Was it only in the RWD engines or did all 2004 engines (LD8 and L37) get them?

I believe the forged cranks were in all the N* starting in 2000.

Not 2000. The forged crank was used in all 2004 and later Northstar RWD engines and went into production in 2004 FWD engines mid model .

You cannot use the forged FWD crank in a 93-99 engine due to the fact that the reluctor wheel pattern machined into the forged crank is totally different in tooth count and pattern. The crank sensors and ignition system on the 93-99 engines will not work with the forged crank reluctor wheel pattern at all.

Why would you even want a forged crank? Are you aiming for 2000hp or something?
