    Is my fuel pump bad??

OK here is the scoop. I started my car got half a block and my car was stuttering and sputtering worse than Daffy Duck. My first thoughts were Thufferin Thufataz!....hahaha....then it died a couple of times on my way back to the house. The throttle did nothing pushed to the floor so I pumped it and got it to give me a little acceleration....I poured gas in the TB at the house and WAM! it started up like a champ and died 3 seconds later. Is my Fuel pump shot????

Sounds like a fuel pump, but the only way to be sure is to put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel service port on the fuel rail and see what kind of fuel pressure you have. Should be around 45 psi.

I already have the tank out. I'll probably snag one from a junk yard for eighty bucks or less. I'm in a tight squeeze. I failed to mention that I do hear the pump engage except it is a low rumble or growl sound and I've heard and read that is the sign of a bad pump or pump going bad.
