Idle Too Low P0506 New Throttle Body?

SES light came on. Vehicle began to idle rough and now when I try to start it the RPMs keep falling below 600 and shuts off. Took it to the nearest dealership to get service (8-24-09). They inspected and cleaned the idle air control valve and also checked for restriction in the air box. Also had a fuel service done where the tech serviced the throttle body and performed induction.

Now they say the entire throttle body assembly needs to be replaced including the idle air control accuators, throttle position sensor and throttle plate. Costing around $450. Should I go ahead with the service? Is there any other suggestions why my RPMs are so low?

Also the gas pedel sticks everytime you stop and then go to accelerate.

No. Get a second opinion. They are upselling.

That is a symptom of a very dirty and carboned TB. Hard to believe they cleaned it.

Ranger is correct - a good TB cleaning and IAC cleaning is all you need. As I posted up there ^^^ there's a recent thread with good pictures on just exactly what you need to do.
