93-99 Camshaft picture needed

Hi, I am trying to figure out what the camshaft sensor pickup looks like on the 93-99 northstar engine for a northstar ignition project. I have done a lot of searching on the internet and have found nothing.

Anyone have a picture of the front left cylinder head with the valve covers off?

I guess I can't edit the post.. to clarify I am looking for a picture of the trigger wheel or what triggers the cam sensor a picture of the cam gear will probably show it. I am modifying a SBC to run on northstar ignition module.

All it is, is a metal dowel about 3/8" long that sticks out of the exhaust cam gear. Its on both exhaust gears but only the one on the rear head is used. As the dowel passes the sensor it sends a pulse to the PCM/ECM.

In the diagram you can see the circle indicating the location of the cam position sensor and the small dots on the face of each of the two sprockets are the dowel of which Mark C speaks. The sensor triggers a pulse each time the cam sprocket passes 6:00 (related to the head surface), so if you can supply the proper pulse (half engine speed) you should be OK.

Somehow, find the total amount of electrical advance allowed by a coil pack-driving PCM. A Northstar only runs 32 - 34 degrees, MAX total due to the very short stroke.

Not to hijack this thread, but any of you guys got any pics/schematics/drawings/specs of the water pump pulley on the opposite side. I need to figure out how its routed and if I can pull 10 HP off it.

Don't forget that the water pump drive pulley turns at half engine speed (cam speed) so if you're thinking of driving a blower or something you'll need to change to a 12" pulley to get the speed back up. (and the cam bearings won't take the load, either.)
