"Limp Mode" describes a couple of speed and power limiting tricks in the PCM programming designed to protect the entire drive train from mechanical failure due to, among other things, ignition timing sensor failures, transmission fluid pressure and mechanical failures, and suspension faults which would lead to dangerous operating conditions above XX speeds. |
