Re: How often do you WOT your north*?

Well I don't have a N*, but any of my vehicles, I run WOT when given a nice chance... either getting on the interstate, or if at a stop light/sign and turning onto a 55mph+ road, I'll run it wide open... not around town tho. I've done it with every car I've owned. There is nothing wrong with running an engine wide open and you cannot "hurt" it in any way, if something does break, it was going to break in the next 100 miles anyway. All engines need to be ran full throttle now and then.

I wot because I like how it makes ME feel. LOL but it does make me wonder if it is gonna make the head bolt threads strip out and head gasket failure. TexasCadillac

Thats how my headgaskests went, right after doing about 10 WOT in a row trying to clean out the carbon. That being said I was real lucky because the car had 99300 miles on it and the warranty was out at 100,000. So in my case the WOT still did me a favor as I am sure the gaskets would have blown anyway but it would have been after the warranty was up :-)... BTW I now have about 33,000 miles after the dealer timeserted the engine, so far no problems (except a quart of oil every 800 miles:-).. Moral of the story do your WOT before the warranty expires...

I think you nailed it. They were going to go anyway. I doubt WOT had anything to do with it.
