    Question difference between 275 and 300hp N*?

I am just curious, I cant seem to find what makes the one engine have lower hp than the one in the ETC, STS, etc. And is there ways to bring it back up to the even number of 300hp again?

This question has been answered numerous times.

The intake cams are different. The gearing and PCM are different to match the engine.

The 275 hp motor has more torque and hp up to about 4000rpm. I think a 275 hp motor with the 3.71 gearing and a program to short shift the motor would really haul.

In a race, the 275 would win up to about 30mph... then the 300 would start walking away. With a 3000 stall, the 300 would walk away from the launch
