I had the dreaded lower crankcase reseal done on a 2000 Deville DHS with 4.6 V8 in December of 2004. Done by a local Cadillac dealer for $1800+ with 12 months or 12000 mile warranty. Had crank position sensors replaced in January of 2006 and had small oil leak coming from front of the oil pan and running down and coating the bottom of the pan. Dealer says warranty is expired and nothing they can do. What kind of results have other members had with this repair lasting longer than 1 year and more than 11,400 miles.
I have never had a replaced lower pan seal or oil manifold leak even 3-4 years later. You may want to check for pan bolt tightness (gently they strip easily) clean the front of the engine so you can identify the leak for sure.
I doubt it's the case seal again. It may be the crank position sensor itself, a main seal, something like that. Perhaps the front engine cover is loose. The case halfway seal would be toward the bottom of my list.
