I have replaced the fpr recently to knock that one off the list of rough idle at startup. I've tested the head gasket via the cylinder liquid exhaust test through coolant reservoir no change in color of liquid whatsoever. I know it could be among other things but I noticed I have a molded hose from intake manifold extending about a foot to upper left. The elbow of the hose I found was unplugged one day and is also cracked is this a vacuum hose?
Yes, it's a vacuum hose and most likely the cause of your rough idle.
A good TB cleaning can't hurt either.
If all that fails, it may be time for plugs & points.
Oh shit! :hide: Can't believe I said that. It's amazing how old things like that just lay dormant for decades, waiting to surface. Obviously I meant plugs & wires (but I'm sure you all knew that).
Hoping one day soon my old dwell meter and timing light will come in handy again.
