I've read that it is possible to do the head gasket job with the engine in the car is it hard and what is required or the best way to do it this way?
I've searched for posts on this but can't find any.
a 96 deville
impossible no but would be a big pain the butt i have done the front head in vehicle. but not the rear. will be easier to pull incase you have to drill and sert threads
I think there is a guy at caddyinfo (Barry94) that did both in the car but as mentioned it was a PITA and I don't think he recommends it. You'd have to go over there and search the archives.
