Im trying to disconnect the fuel lines from the manifold. The metal tool i purchased did not close fully around the line, and the plastic piece goes all the way around the line and all the way in the fitting, but no matter how hard I tap on it, or how hard i pull the line, it just wont come off.
I've had the same problem everytime I disconnect mine. I purchased the metal tool and it doesn't fit well at all but the plastic ones will at least get it apart.
The only trick I can tell you is that you have to make sure that the tool is engaging all 4 tangs on the female side of the connector. Also, when your pressing down on the tool, try sqeezing the connector together...this will take some of the pressure off of the tangs.
