My 1994 Deville 4.9 is starting to show some signs.
I want to get a decent estimate of just how much it would cost to either fix or replace. The only thing I'm noticing right now is the tiny bit of white smoke and sweet smell when I start it. It lingers a few minutes and then looks fairly normal. No other signs are present but since it has around 180k miles on it I'm almost positive there's something going on in there.

Re: My 4.9 L 1994 Deville Northstar is starting to show some signs.
Sounds like a head gasket or an intake manifold gasket. The intake would be the cheaper of the two, but neither will be cheap. Yopu'll need to get a proper diagnosis before you can get an estimate.
The '94 has a 4.9 engine as you posted, but it is not the Northstar. The Northstar is a 4.6.
I edited your title to correct it.
