    northstars

    i have been researching northstars for a while now and see quite a few threads abt head gaskets going bad. i was wondering if the olds aurora with the smaller northstar has similar head gasket problems. any information is appreciated. thanks

    A GM engineer once commented that a head gasket leak would be rarer on an Aurora engine because of the smaller bore. There's more area for the gasket to seal.

    Im sure its still a problem, but wether or not its as serious as the northstar im not sure of.......

    You must still maintain your cooling system as if one wrong move will cause it to burst.......
