People that ask that question usually find one way or another. Sounds like a fun project.

Is that the front wheel drive version from an Impala?

If so, I would think it's possible.

Yes, gp motor. Same thing. Trans went so seller swapped out mtr/trans. Has wire harness and computer. Size wise it would work fine but computer issues? No fun

    Re: 5.3 motor

You need the transmission and the complete engine harness and ecm. The body harness for the gauges will not be needed per se' because you'll be using your existing ones. Unless the plugs are different......

I think of swaps like that all the time........

Used to think fwd LS motor was potentially more compact than NS. But after seeing accessory crap like alt and front mount wp I think not. I think the LS might actually be wider frt/ back? And there are those darn steel water lines coming from the wp. Is there any way GM can get rid of those tubes that rust out?

    Re: 5.3 motor

The tubes are cheap and cost effective for the life of the motor per se'.

Heaven forbid the parts were made durable and didn't need replacement.

How would they make any money......
