    Oil filter

Removing the oil cooler lines from the oil filter adapter and plugging the ports has no affect on oil flow to rest of motor? The oil is filtered, than sent to cooler? So if cooler line is plugged, is oil flow blocked? Or is oil flow routed internally inside adapter back to motor? Or is the adapter setup to always send some oil to cooler and some to filter? Is there an internal bypass in adapter? Maybe I am thinking parallel flow vs serial flow?

    Re: Oil filter

I am changing radiator and am debating whether or not to hook up oil lines. Most would say why not. They are there, use them. I pulled motor and 1 yr later the oil line blew out of radiator. Wimpy plastic clip on line was not seated right. Is ok now but I still worry about it.
