Where is the oil level sensor located?

Check oil level sensor may be bad as sometimes when I turn the car to on, a message is displayed on the DIC. I assume that it is on the pan somewhere, I haven't looked yet. I just wanted to ask those that may know first, and make it easier for me.

    Thanks

Here is a pic of the float level switch where it goes through the right left side (if your looking down @ the oil pan) Sorry the windage tray is covering the end of the float
