    Plastic Smell

I've noticed a faint plastic smell from my 98 Councours when I pull in the garage. It's a bit more intense if I run it hard. I cant seem to find what causing it and thought maybe someone else might be able to shed a lil light on the subject. The car has 142000 on it.

    Re: Plastic Smell

On my '99 Deville I've had to peel off plastic bags from my catalitic converter 3 times. It dosen't always look like a bag because it melts and turns black and most of it blows off. I try to scrape as much as I can off because even a small amount will smell for a long time.

It gotta be the plastic bag. It a pain in the ass to get it off unless you have a lift.

Could also be your brakes... They can kinda smell like burning plastic after a hard stop.. But it's more of a unique smell than anything.
