    1997 Deville Transmission Service

I decided to service my 1997 Deville transmission and do not see the "Hidden drain plug". I have a car lift and have plain view of the bottom with the pan removed and I do not see it. Any help yould be greatly appreciated. Also should I replace the pan gasket, it is still in one piece.

Look at the area of the trans inside the pan under the side cover. It is up at the torque converter end of the trans..... It is just a bolt head that isn't holding anything down.....

If the pan gasket is in good shape it can be reused.

Be sure and clean the oil pickup screens of any debris. That keeps any "chunks" from being picked up and transferred to the side cover oil storage area where the pickup filter is located.
