    Overwrite Obd1

When I use my OBD1 I can overwrite things on there but i dont know what the code mean.
Also when I check the OBD on what my gas octan rating it read zero. I always use 91 octane. What could be the problem?

The octane rating doesn't work on mine either. I have read somewhere that some OBDI cars aren't equipped with that capability

On my 94' STS gas octan read zero too.

I believe, when they designed PCM, they designed it for years ahead and not all the options now are used.

Whether you get a readout and what the value is, are dependent on several things, one of which is the horsepower rating. If you have the LD8 (270) HP engine it will always read 0 (zero). See attached image for better explanation.

I've got 295hp engine on 94' STS with Z-rated tires (if it's depends of it some how) and it still reads 0. I think I should check some settings after I changed PCM. It has same service number like my old one, but that PCM has been pull out from Deville.
