    yes it was very loose I had the same thought, and did block it with wood when i separated the trans. and engine

    just got back from a trip to canada around 500 miles round trip and got 22mpg useing about a qt of oil every 1700 miles. AWSOME car

    Lost the rad. on monday, leaks at the seal on tank to core pass. side. Not to bad being it was the original one still had gm sticker on it and the date. All is well again. Now I just have to figure out why the auto exit and exit feature stopped working. Still loving it!!!!

    Looks like the normal lifespan of the radiators are about 10-12 years. I had crack under the upper radiator hose. I replaced it while I was doing my head gasket work.

    Still loving it, oil useage has droped off still getting around 20mpg local driving. Winter is coming and i am gonna park it for the winter. I will miss it. But I miss my tahoe and she should be out of the body shop this week

    I am in Texas and don't know what winter is. It's still around 105 degrees at 3pm.

    40s and 50s??????? It's 12:34 AM and it's still 92 degrees here - never thought it would be that different between states.

    STS is in storage, Tahoe came out to nice to drive in the salt So starting a 20x40 addition on my shop for my toys. Just bought a 2001 GMC SLT extended cab for a winter rat shes just broke in with 247000 miles on her real clean truck for $3000. But I still miss my STS

    Amazing thread people I have spent the last two hours pumping my brain full of extremely useful information. I have a 98 sts gaskets just went bad from having a crack in the radiator resovuoir overheated 3 times now I'm blowing white smoke random miltuple misfires ect ect. Now I ****ed myself a problem that could have been easly avoided. But now I can put the blood sweat and tears into my car just like you have and how I've always wanted to.

    Iwill begin next month after I collect all my parts here's what I got :
