    Sea foaming l37

I am amazed at what this did for my engine!

I was having hesitation at accelerating recently(which usually means to change oil), more noticeable knocking from the misfiring piston, and she also tells me to check oil level as well. I didn't have the money for a complete oil change so instead I seafoamed the engine. Topped the oil off and followed instructions on how to seafoam. I also did 2 applications just to be thorough. It eliminated the noticeable knocking, hesitation for now. I about crapped myself on the WAY to the highway so I could do a couple of wot apps as well. She just wanted to go and to go very fast! Had shit loads of smoke come out which was expected.

Any other sea foam stories out there?

    That's ridiculous.

Seafoam is a magic elixir that cures everything from poor engine performance to male pattern baldness.

Besides, if it smokes, it MUST be doing some good.

I can see at least 2 things wrong with this statement...
Forget about these "magic" potions, just change your oil, that is THE MOST important fluid for the engine, plus the money you wasted on the potion could go into a oil change. Last time I changed my oil in Florida was $41. That is about half I paid the other day to the gas station.

............don't even get me started on the ?benefits? of pouring snake oil into a perfectly good engine.

Next thing we know, he'll install a +55 hp (at idle only) Tornado whirlygig and a K&N filter with special cylinder honing oil additive.

Post #2: Ranger, You forgot that the stuff is also an over-the-counter substitute for VIAGRA.

mattbruz, With all due respect, you could have had as much fun with 6 ounces of mineral spirits (paint thinner) mixed with 6 ounces of ethanol (grain alcohol from your local liquor store)............or even 100 proof rotgut vodka.
