Re: Flywheel holding tool
I put a long bolt through the starter flange hole and threaded it into a flywheel and torque converter bolt hole. Put a little piece of rag between the bolt shaft and the starter flange hole...I bent the bolt a little when removing the crankshaft bolt, but it didn't cost me anything and it worked.
i have seen 3. bottom of motor when motor/trans are still in car. #2 is where starter goes. #3 is on flexplate end of motor when it is on engine stand. who knew there were 3 to choose from. might even be more. only $25 or so. thats pretty cheap.
thanks for the response, but can you do that without separating the trans from the engine?
do you have a link or description of what you are talking about for $25? I found the EN-46326 tool for $50, and I may have the opportunity to work on another N* if my first project does not turn me off to the ordeal.
