Traction Control & a code.....

Hello guys,

I've been a lurker for a few months now, learning something new every day thanks to everyone here. I have a sweet '97 STS w/ 93k on it and the TC light pops on usually every day and ofcourse 1st gear disappears, other than that, the car is perfect. I pulled a code just today; TC1274, and a description found on the web: "Right Front TCS Prime Valve Malfunction".

Now, can someone translate this for me? What will something like this cost to repair? Any help would be appreciated.

Much thanks.
Matt

Since it mentions "RF" I would assume it means that there is a problem with the right front strut valving (replace strut). These are not your everyday struts. They are electronically controlled. Those electronic struts are quite expensive. I have heard as much as $800 each.
