    1996 Deville N*

Looking for opinions on a purchase. I would direct this to the Deville segment of the page, however, I am more looking into engine performance than car since this buy is an Arizona car.

What are your opinions on the 1996 N*?. I have read nothing but heaven from those who have taken care of their Caddy. I am picking up a 96 Deville for 2100. Asking price was around 3400 but nobody in Minnesota touches an old caddy with 99k on it. Just looking to get an idea from those who have some of the older N*s on what it ran like at 99k etc. Thanks all in advance. Always a great site for reviews

should run great till over 250k miles.

Id go to autozone and get the headgasket tester (block tester) and check for exhaust gas in the coolant......i wont buy a car again without that tool......and its a free loaner!!

yea. I am in heaven seeing these 200k plus numbers so consistently. I had an high tech p.o.s 4100 which was running fabulous until the tranny check out permenantly. I will head to auto zone asap after. Keep the comments coming, knowledge is always helpful.

my 86 deville tranny was only $1000, inluding labor

mine had a new gm 4100 in it at 125k i bought at 140k i took it to 205k no issues, sold it and a kid drove it after the serp belt went....melted headgaskets......

i didnt mind the lack of power, it just got poor milage going 80, i did like that body style though

Lucky man. I got 4 estimates around 1500-2000. Con mechanics. If I have the cash for a 2k mint caddy deville with 10 less years, im not gonna pass it. I can always sell for parts on this seville. its in mint condition as well.
