    intake manifold bolt torque?

Quick question for those of you who've got a manual for 95-99's... I need the specs for the manifold bolt torque. It's probably on the order of like 6ft lbs, but I don't want to guess. Thanks in advance!

it is 89 lb-in (7.5 lb-ft) for a 97. Use care with these bolts, I snapped one off in the head with little torque.

I used a torque wrench that oinly went down to 10 foor pounds and tried to set it lower. I was lucky enough to be able to back the bolt out with a chisel whe I changed my starter.

Forget torquing it to 7.5 ft-lbs. Do it by hand. I used a torque wench at 6 ft-lbs and snapped the bolt, added 1.5 hours to the project. If you are going to do it, do the front and center one, it is easier to drill out. 1997 Devill Concours w/ Northstar.

For the future reference: Use an inch pound torque wrench. Or use hand carefully, and don't go torque crazy. It doesn't have to be THAT tight..
