Secondary Air Injection Check Valve... Bent?
Yesterday I took off the secondary air injection check valve on my 07' DTS to inspect and clean it due to a code. I removed the three screws at the base of the valve and opened it to clean the carbon out. Sitting in between the base and the upper part of the unit is a gasket and three pieces of metal screwed together. Does anyone know if the top piece of metal is supposed to be bent? It is not laying flat against the middle piece and I'm wondering if this is what's causing the valve to stay stuck open causing the code.
(I'm kicking myself now for not taking pictures)
