Question Good mechanics to fix head gasket in Oceanside, California area

I am looking for a mechanic in my area that will repair my head gasket, I have checked with a few local shops and nobody will touch it, just wondering if any forum members know of any shops in the Vista/Oceanside area of Sand Diego, California. Currently my car is listed in the classifieds section for sale but if i can save enough money to repair it I would like to keep it.

Re: Good mechanics to fix head gasket in Oceanside, California area

No one will touch because the repair is not simply replaceing headgaskets. Your N* threw its headbolts - they pulled the threads right out of the block. The Timesert repair is slow and exacting and most mechanics don't want to spend the time necessary to do the job according to the procedure. They usually rush it, screw it up and then claim the engine is beyond repair. You may want to consider having a reman motor installed.

    Good luck.
