    Oil in intake manifold 4.6 1993

    I took the cover off of the manifold there was a coat of oil on everything and the map sensor was not hooked up to a vacuum line and the fuel regulator was not hookup to a vacuum line can anyone tell me if this is normal and what the problem is if there is one. Wana thank you very much for any help that you can give me Woody

    It is completely normal.

    No vacuum lines are needed because the FPR and MAP sensor are inside the manifold and thus subjected to manifold vacuum.

    The grungy oil is a combination of crankcase gases from the PCV valve and exhaust gases from the EGR valve.
