Hello everyone i have a problem I'm working on a 02 STS with north star engine , i took my heads to a machine shop and they took off the cam sprockets i dont remember how the went on, can anyone tell me how to set the sprockets so when i set the timing chain its correct

Can't they only go on one way? IIRC, each sprocket has 2 holes/slots for the pin in the cam to go through. 2 sprockets say RI and RE, and the other 2 say LE and LI.
L = left
R = right
I = intake
E = exhaust.
You put the pin through either the I or E hole depending on which can you're installing it on.
joser, You might want to look at Post #3. There are three (3) timing chains and it takes cam locks to get everything in alignment with Cylinder 1 at TDC so you can install the sprockets, retract the 3 tensioners, set the chains, and unlock the tensioners. Did you replace the tensioner shoes and the chain guide slippers ? Oil everything.
