    Oil Adapter housing Problems :(

    I need urgent help, i took out my oil adapter housing, and when i placed it back on my 2002 deville started splurting oil, the two bolts had 3 gaskets/wahers when i took em off and put them back on, is there a another gasket i may have missed or did i miss seat the adapter on wrong??

    I'll take a guess you are talking about the oil filter adapter.

    There should be two bolts and two rubber O rings. There is no gasket at that surface.

    JimD, thump, ........Look at your identical post up in Seville/Deville. O-rings are not forever............Get new O-rings from your dealer, pull it (the adapter) off again and reassemble slowly and carefully. When you're fooling with O-rings and flange joints, absolute cleanliness is essential. As is a new, prefilled (by you) oil filter.
