    Interesting Observation with Volant.

So knowing that the Volant CAI's are leakier than the N* itself, I took some time today to seal it up.

I used 3/16 wide X 1/4 high foam rubber adhesive backed weather stripping. I put it all around the top lip of the box, adhered to the box not the lid.

Additionally I took some 1 1/4 thick x 3/4 foam for home air conditioner sealing and made a nice small piece to seal the hole where the wire harness enters the box.

Now here's the interesting part, it's almost as quiet as the factory intake. Almost all the noise is gone until you really get into it. This is to say I believe most of the noise generated by these boxes is the HOT are flowing in through the leaky lid.

I thought you might like to know.

I have Bert's car in to do some testing. I will take a picture of his box.

I disconnected the ABS/TCS module connector and the car runs the same.
