'05 DeVille, Two Black Cam Covers?

While my '01 STS is in for front suspension issues and possibly an intermediate shaft replacement, my loaner is an '05 DeVille. I noticed that BOTH cam covers are black. When did they start doing this? I've always known the front (left) cam cover to be painted silver, and the rear (right) cam cover to be black. But on the '05, both are black.

Had to be after '03, or a running change when the bean counters figured it was cheaper to paint them both the same color at the same time...........
