Exclamation Head gasket poll... please check in.

I'd like to get a cross section of the head gasket problem. This probably won't be statistically sound, but it would be nice to get a reasonable idea as to the cause of our head gasket problem.

The question is - If you had a head gasket replaced, did all of the head bolts come out with a "SNAP"? In other words, were there any head bolts loose or came out easily?

    The latter suggests poor threads.

Please - this is ONLY for those who have had a head gasket fail.

Mine is in the process of failing (i.e. it seeps coolant outside the block, but does not overheat, and haven't found any exhaust gases in the coolant..as of yet). I'm trying to make time to bring it in to the dealer and see what they say. If one of the bolts pulled, then it might JUST be covered by my warranty. We'll see. I don't have the time to fix it myself since I work full time. I also don't have the space either. If and when I get it fixed, I will post what info I may be able to gather from whatever tech happens to be doing the job.

Didn't take apart my old motor but Im under the assumption that probably half of them are going to come out with ease as I was burning a gal. of coolant every 2 days, my old motor had almost 190k.
