I believe, and so do some Dr's, that the biopsy allows the cancer cells to escape the prostate and take up residence elsewhere in the body.
So, ask for a PET scan which lights up ALL cancer cells via x-ray and doesn't scatter the cancer.
Too, the biopsy does not identify if the cancer has spread but the PET does.
