Aj i have read many of the treads and comments about your tunning. I have one question can you do it? I have a 2001 SLS with exhaust and modded airbox. Can you tune it? If so what are you doing? Removing speed limiter? Rev limiter? shifting? and the cost. If you will do it i will send you the money when i get your reply! I really apricate your response! please email me at mg2210@msn.com

You seem to know what your talking about in regards to the stability control. My wife has a 04 srx RWD she was getting the stability engaged message and now only gets the service stability message today she said it was shaking something awful while the message was on and wouldn't go about 65 she took it to the dealer they say Electronic Brake Control Module based on the shield is missing they say water got in. what is your idea on this any chance it the steering wheel sensor? thanks for any input you might have

Hi AJ. Due to the fact that I'm new to the forums I can't pm you. I'm interested in a tune for my 98 eldorado vin "y" , NF2 emissions system, Tier 1. I understand you're probably busy with other projects, just let me know when you have a chance. Thanks

    Hi

Simple hopefully quick question. Can you point me to where to find the pinouts (and/or other goodies too) for a 2000 4.6 Seville SLS PCM? I am putting it in a different GM. Here 's the VIN 1G6KS54Y9YU150020 (it is a coil on plug pcm/ecm - yes I know I'll need dual crank sensors)

A.J. I spoke with you via email 2 or 3 months ago about having my GM perf parts E67 PCM flashed with a stock tune and vin # . You were also kind enough to get me prints of cruise circuits and others. I'm ready to get the computer tuned but the email I had for you is no longer valid. Could you please contact me at bowti67@sbcglobal.net Best Regards, Matt

Hi AJxtcman. You mentioned in a post upgrading a 2 wire o2 sensor to a four wire for improved mpg. Do you have more detalied info on how I would do that on my 94 Chevy truck 5.7L 2500? Thanks in advance.

So what year would you say that is safe to buy a Northstar and not worry about it blowing a headgasket?? I have read your thread and you said sometime in 2002 Cadillac changed the head bolts and you haven't seen one failure yet. If you could let me know i'd appreciate it thanks.

    Greetings Ajxtcman,

Have spent the majority of the evening reading through the posts on the Northstar forum in hopes of putting together a plan of action on my 97 STS...have read several excellent posts from you and just decided I'd see if you would be willing to give me your opinion :)

My 97 has appx. 140,000 miles on it....I inherited it from my folks who religiously took it into the dealership for service, but decided to purchase a new Toyota after discovering they had the dreaded "blown head gasket"...give the car was always garaged and mint inside and out, I decided to go the time-sert route and had the work done at a Denver dealership to the tune of about $3,900....that was 10 months ago. I have now relocated the car to Kansas, and over the last several months it has been losing coolant....I took it to a reliant and honest mechanic last week and was told it has a cracked block....it is now burning coolant directly.

I get the impression from the forum that GM didn't really address the N* headgasket problem until maybe around 2000....I love driving the car but am a bit hesitant to take the leap again...I'd be more likely to take another leap of faith if there was a more reliable alternative....is an engine swap viable, and if so what? Obviously, sending it to the boneyard is an option, but I do have some reliable mechanics to do the install, if indeed, I can find an engine that seemingly doesn't have such a flaggrant "factory installed" problem.

    Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
All the best to you and yours,
    John B.
