Rubber Boot at the base of shifter

Remove this ad
Is the rubber boot at the base of a shifter on a 2002 Escalade easily replaced or even available separate from the shifter? If you need a pic to clarify, I can take one and post it.

Thanks Luke/James!

Re: Rubber Boot at the base of shifter

Steve,

It's fairly easy to replace. You need to remove the trim covers around the steering column first, peel back the rubber boot if there's any left and then you can get to the bolt that holds the lever onto the column. It's a torx head bolt IIRC...

Re: Rubber Boot at the base of shifter

I forgot to call on Friday. I imagine you guys are closed Monday for the holiday, so I'll call on Tuesday. I may also want to order the arms for the windshield wipers too.
